A distinguished lawyer and maritime law consultant with over five decades of legal and academic experience, he is internationally recognized for his contribution to maritime legislation, insurance law, and commercial law across Africa and beyond. A graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) specializing in Marine Insurance, Carriage of Goods by Sea, and Maritime Law, he also holds an LL.B. (Hons) and a Professional Law Qualification from the University of Ghana.

He served as a Consultant in Maritime Law and Legislation at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) from 1999 to 2020, providing expert legal services and legislative drafting to governments in more than twenty African and Asian countries. His prior appointments include Marine Legal Expert to the Government of Papua New Guinea under the Commonwealth Secretariat and Director of Legal Services at Ghana Airways Corporation.

A former lecturer and examiner at the Ghana School of Law, he has mentored several justices of the Supreme Court of Ghana and leading figures in law, politics, and business. His publications in The Business & Financial Times and other legal journals continue to shape dialogue on maritime, company, and insurance law.

He is a Member of the Ghana Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics.
